WATERLOO–Hawkeye Community College welcomes dual sport athlete Acey Jellison, who has signed a letter of intent to join both the track and field and volleyball teams for their 2019-2020 seasons.
Jellison excelled on the volleyball court at Seymour High School, earning first team all-conference her junior and senior seasons, as well as second team all-conference her sophomore season. Proving to be an athletic powerhouse, Jellison is a three-time state track qualifier with a 2:27.57 PR in the 800-meter run.
"I'm excited to have Acey join the team next season," said Tyler Mulder, RedTail Track and Field coach. "I've been scouting her since her freshman year and I like how aggressive she attacks the 800m. She is also a very talented high jumper, so she's got some unique skills as she's a small town multi-sport athlete and is full of untapped potential!"
She is the daughter of Emily Jellison. For more information on Hawkeye RedTail Athletics, call 319-296-4430 or visit www.redtailathletics.com.
