RedTails finish 3rd overall in the TESPA Preseason

RedTails finish 3rd overall in the TESPA Preseason
The Varsity Overwatch team competed in the TESPA play-in bracket over the weekend, with the two finalists receiving a bid to compete for the TESPA preseason national championship against the top eight schools from the Varsity Series.
Play started on Saturday with the RedTails notching quick wins over New England College and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, setting them up on a date with Boise State University in the Sweet 16 on Sunday.
Boise State and Hawkeye have a long history in the two years of the RedTails' program, facing off several times in practices. Hawkeye once again prevailed 3-0, and moved on to take on powerhouse Miami (OH) in the quarterfinals.
The best-of-five series started off quick in Hawkeye's favor, taking the Busan and going up 1-0, but Miami fired back, taking King's Row and evening the series up. Hawkeye pulled ahead on map three, capturing Dorado in a thrilling overtime push, but Miami fought back in map four, taking Horizon Lunar Colony as their own and forcing a series-deciding map five fight on Lijiang Tower. Hawkeye prevailed in the end, winning the series 3-2, and pushing them back into the semifinals for the second time this season against Rutgers. Unfortunately, Rutgers made quick work of Hawkeye, winning 3-0 and ending the RedTails Varsity run for the preseason. The team finsied third overall in the tournament.

JV Overwatch dropped both games against Texas A&M and Bowling Green State University.
