Taylor Spies has signed a letter of intent to join the RedTail Volleyball team at Hawkeye Community College for the 2019-2020 year.
Spies played high school volleyball at Vinton-Shellsburg and was recognized for her great play by the WaMaC conference in 2018. She was also involved in three other sports and National Honor Society.
"Taylor has an impressive defensive sense about her at the net," said head coach Scott Weston. "She also has an impressive wingspan and reach, which will make her extremely difficult for opposing hitters to work around. We are excited at the opportunity to work with Taylor the next couple of seasons."
Spies is the daughter of Audra and Jeff Spies and plans to enroll in the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
