RedTails Avenge Early Season Loss Against John Wood CC

QUINCY, Ill-- The Hawkeye Community College RedTails volleyball team was able to avenge an early season loss against John Wood Community College with a 3-2 victory on Friday.

 

The RedTails were led by freshman Alison Godwin who had 17 kills on the evening. Sophomore Haylee Heune helped keep the ball alive by contributing an outstanding 41 kills. 

 

"The team fought hard for every point and battled to redeem ourselves from the loss earlier this season," said interim head coach Tyann Caspers after the game, " It was a great team effort and I'm excited for the remainder of the season."

 

The victory pushes Hawkeye back to the .500 mark on the season at 10-10, and extends the win streak to three games.

 

The RedTail volleyball team will be back in action on October 2 in a road test against Northeast Community College.
