RedTails Round out the Fall Season in Fourth Place
The Hawkeye RedTail Men's Golf Team finished in fourth place at the Kirkwood Eagle Fall Classic on Wednesday October 7. The team played 36 holes for this meet and finished with a score of 621 for the long day.
The RedTails had four members place in the top 20. Ethan Streicher and Tom Bell led the team with a score of 152 and tied for ninth place overall. Austin Reynolds followed close behind with a score of 156 tying for 14th place overall. Zach Teske had a score of 161 tying for 20th overall. Colin Kitson rounded out the RedTail top five with a score of 180 placing 33rd overall.
"We did some good things today and played a pretty good first 18 holes," said head coach Micah Destival. "We will definitely need to work on stamina over the winter as we got a little tired coming in during the second round as we are not used to playing 36 holes in a day. Fall season went quick and after a little time off I think we will be ready to get to work to prepare to have a great spring."
This meet rounded out the RedTails fall season. They will continue to compete in the spring season.
