Male Athlete of the Week-Luke Galeazzi

RedTail golfer Luke Galeazzi has been named Scheels Male Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Wartburg Invite at Prairie Links Golf Course on April 1.

Luke played well on Friday in Waverly. He finished tied for third out of 85 players. He shot 2 under par for a round of 69 helping the RedTails men's team come out with a win. Outside of golf, Luke is the Vice President of the RedTails Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

"Luke played a great round of golf at Prairie Links to finish in a tie for third in a really good field of players," said coach Micah Destival. "His best highlight was knocking one in from the fairway for an eagle on the par 5 twelfth hole. Luke has put in a lot of work this school year in the classroom and on the course so it's nice to see these quality rounds happen for him."

"I was really happy to finally see my hard work in practice start paying off in a tournament," says Luke. "It was awesome to get the first win of the year with the team and hopefully more to come this spring."

Galeazzi is originally from Knoxville, Iowa.
