Female Athlete of the Week- Abby Bartz

RedTail Throws student-athlete Abby Bartz has been named Scheels Female Athlete of the Week for her performances throughout the 2022-23 season.

Bartz has been working hard to learn the technique of a new event that she's never done before and the hard work has paid off. She has made two national qualifying marks and has been ranked sixth in the nation for her throws. She competes in weight throws and shotput.

"Abby has been working really hard to qualify for both events and she has finally done it," said coach Hunter Lavallee. "A few weeks ago was kind of bumpy so, this last week she was determined to go get the mark and she did just that and more. I am proud of the hard work and determination she has put in."

Bartz is originally from Vinton, IA.
