Union High School’s Megan Hudson Signs with Women’s Track and Field Team
WATERLOO–Union High School's Megan Hudson has signed a letter of intent to join the women's track and field team at Hawkeye Community College for the 2017-2018 season.
Hudson was a four-time qualifier for the 2016 State Track and Field Meet. Her 4x100M (50.11) and shuttle hurdle relay (1:05.34) teams each took state titles, and she placed second in the 100M hurdles (14.87) and fourth in the 200M (25.88). Hudson also qualified for the 2016 Drake Relays, competing in the 4x100M and placing eighth in the 100M hurdles. She is a member of the Des Moines Register's 2016 Class 2A All-Iowa Track and Field Team.
In 2015, she ran at state in the 100M hurdles (runner-up, 15.63) and shuttle hurdle relay (fifth, 1:07.95). That same year she qualified for the Drake Relays in the 100M hurdles. In addition to numerous track accolades, Hudson is a standout volleyball player, garnering numerous all-state and all-district honors and earning a spot on the Des Moines Register's 2016 Class 3A All-Iowa Volleyball Team.
Hudson is the daughter of Terra Ray of La Porte City. She plans to enroll in the Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
