RedTail Dance Team Volunteers at Children’s Tumor Foundation Event

The RedTail dance team took time out of their day on Saturday, September 23, to help with the Shine a Light Walk in Cedar Falls. 

The Shine a Light Walk was from 9:00am-12:00pm and the volunteers and participants met at the Island Park in Cedar Falls. The dance team did a performance and helped out with various things during the event. The event raised over $40,000 and all of the proceeds go to the Children's Tumor Foundation to help end neurofibromatosis, which affects millions of people around the world. There is currently no cure so the funds will go toward working to find a cure and helping families with children that have neurofibromatosis and other tumor-related issues. 

Head coach Abigail Kopriva had some positive words after the event.

"The Shine a Light NF Walk is a fundraising event of the Children's Tumor Foundation," she said "The dance team had a great time dancing and supporting everyone participating! Thank you to all fighting to find a cure for NF."

The RedTail Dance team will kick off their season on November 18, competing in the Dance Challenge.
