Male Athlete of the Week- Jacob Butcher

RedTail Bowling student-athlete Jacob Butcher has been named Scheels Male Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Kohawk Invite on February 4-5.

Butcher is one of Hawkeye's captains and he's been one of the more consistent players while at tournaments. While the team was at the Clarke Invite a few weekends ago, Butcher finished in 36th place with a 177.8 average for his five games. At the Kohawk Invite, Butcher placed 94th overall with a 164 average for his five games. Butcher currently has a 174.96 average for the season and with that, includes a 50.22% spare percentage. 

"Some of Jacob's best qualities is that he doesn't get down on himself and likes to keep things pretty light-hearted to keep the team loose and relaxed." said coach Roger Taylor.

Butcher is originally from Epworth, IA.
