Athlete of the Week: Tom Bell

Hawkeye freshman Tom Bell was named athlete of the week for his performance at the Klocke Classic, Blackhawk Invite, and NIACC Invite. 

Bell shot a 71-69 for a total score of 140 at the Klocke Classic which not only landed him fourth overall, but he was also able to break the Hawkeye school record for 18 holes and 36 holes. In the Blackhawk Invite, he placed second overall by shooting a 70. Bell finished off the week by placing tenth at the NIACC Invite.

Bell said, "I have been golfing for three years now, I was lucky that my grandparents showed me golf and got me involved in it. While attending Hawkeye, I am studying liberal arts."

Bell will be back in action with the RedTails golf team on Friday, September 25 for the Wartburg Invite.
