Men’s Golf Takes Ninth at Iowa Central Invite

The RedTail Men's Golf Team took ninth place at the Iowa Central Invitational at Fort Dodge Country Club on April 9-10.

The RedTails posted a team score of 638 over the two days of competition.

"Another tough tournament for us in windy conditions, as we have to figure out how to play better in the elements," says head coach Micah Destival.

Tom Bell led the RedTails with scores of 79 and 70 over the two days. Bell's performance in round two tied for low round of the day, leading him to his ninth place finish overall. Ethan Streicher also performed well for the RedTails, shooting a 76 and 80 for a total score of 156. Ethan Fox and Austin Reynolds shot 165 and 168 on the weekend.

"We are looking forward to the next couple weeks as we have a couple home tournaments to get back on track before regionals," says coach Destival.

Next up, the RedTails travel to Mason City for the NIACC Spring Invitational on Thursday, April 15.
