RedTail Golf Places Third at Kirkwood Invite

CEDAR RAPIDS–The RedTail Golf team competed in the Kirkwood Invite at the Hunters Ridge golf course in Cedar Rapids on March 27-28 and placed third out of five teams, with a score of 308.

Grant Dekruyf tied for sixth place individually, with a score of 74.

The tie for ninth place was held by Austin Reynolds, with a score of 75.

Luke Galeazzi scored a 76, which put him in a tie for 12th place.

Sacha Brown and Tom Bell tied for 23rd place, both scoring a 79.

Another RedTail tie between Melker Andersson and Aden Zwanziger for 42nd place, both scoring 84s.

The tie for 49th place was held by Alijah Dopson, scoring an 87.

Carson Slezak was in a tie for 53rd place, scoring an 89.

"I thought we played decently in the chilly weather and got some good rounds out of Grant, Austin and Luke," head coach Micah Destival commented. "Alijah Dopson also played a great front nine in 39. We are looking forward to a good week of practice and getting back out there next weekend at Wartburg."

The RedTails are back in action on Friday, April 1, for the Wartburg Invite at Prairie Links golf course.
