RedTail Golf Places Third at Verhille Invite

IOWA CITY–The RedTail Golf team competed in the Verhille Invite at Finkbine Golf Course in Iowa City on April 21 and placed third out of 12 teams, with a score of 299.

Tied for seventh place, Luke Galeazzi scored 73

Close behind with a score of 74, Tom Bell placed ninth.

Both in 16th place, Grant Dekruyf and Melker Andersson scored 76.

Brayden Fahrni was in a tie for 30th place with a score of 78.

Tied for 58th, Aden Zwanziger scored 82.

Following closely, Sacha Brown scored 83.

With a score of 87, Carson Slesak placed 75th.

Tied for 75th place, Alijah Dopson scored 87.

Broc Shaw was in a tie for 91st place with a score of 91. 

"We finally had some sun today and the guys played another good round of golf on an unfamiliar tough golf course. The greens at Finkbine in Iowa City were rolling great and we broke 300 again. Luke led the way this time with a 73 and Tom had another top 10 finish with a 74.  Looking forward to a week of practice before we head to the regional next weekend.

Next up for the RedTails is the Region XI Regional Tournament on April 30.
