RedTail Men's Golf Competes at the Ryerson Invite
WATERLOO–The RedTail Men's Golf team competed at the Ryerson Invite hosted by Central College on April 27th in Cedar Rapids, IA. The A Team had a final score of 308 and placed second of ten teams, while the B Team had a final score of 327 and placed seventh of ten teams.
Melker Andersson, Sacha Brown, Luke Galeazzi, and Grant Dekryuyf led the A Team with a score of 77 and tied for T9. Austin Reynolds placed T24 with a score 81.
Emil Christensen led the B Team, also placing T9 with a score of 77. Max Naumann followed closely behind, placing T16 with a score of 78. Ethan Farrell placed T33 with a score of 85, Carson Slezak placed T35 with a score of 86, Broc Shaw placed T37 with a score of 87, and Kody Hoeger placed 54th with a score of 103.
"It was a perfect day to play golf and was nice for our sophomores to have a good day of golf for their last regular season tournament," said coach Micah Destival. "Bos Landen is very difficult and I thought we did a good job, for the most part, of minimizing blowups. Looking forward to our regional tournament in Lake Panorama on Monday."
