Ben Kososkie

Bio

WATERLOO- RedTail Athletics welcomes Ben Kososkie as the new Head Soccer Coach at Hawkeye Community College. Ben joins Hawkeye Community College from Tucson, AZ, where he has played and coached in recent years. 

Ben played two years of college soccer as a full-scholarship athlete, first at Phoenix College, and received his Associates Degree from Pima College. He then advanced to playing at the professional level with the Arizona Sahuaros from 1999-2000 as one of the youngest players on the team, and later joined the Tucson Fireballs from 2000-2001.

Kososkie has extensive coaching experience, starting off as a general manager for the Tucson Tiburons in 2003. He assisted in team make-up and player development, as well as establishing the team as one of the founding members of the National Premier Soccer League. Kososkie has over 13 years of coaching experience, spending eleven of them with Ft. Lowell Soccer Club based out of Tucson, where he led two teams to Top 20 rankings in Arizona. He also coached four consecutive team championships for the Pima County Junior Soccer League with an overall record of 32-2-2. He later transferred to the Sereno Soccer Club, where he was the Tuscon Director of Coaching and Operations and coached the Catalina Foothills High School men's soccer team this past winter season with a record of 7-10-1.
