RedTail Men’s Soccer Team Falls to Western Iowa Tech and Grand View University

The RedTail men's soccer team traveled to the Grand View Open in Des Moines, IA, on Saturday, April 5, where they competed in two matches against the Comets of Western Iowa Tech and the Vikings of Grand View University.

In the first game, the RedTails competed against Western Iowa Tech and fell 0-1.

Game two was against Grand View University, and the men put up a fight against a hard conference team but lost 1-3. Agustin Sisti scored the single goal for the RedTails.

After the conclusion of this weekend's games, Head Coach Jorge Sierra said, "Despite the results, I was very proud of the performance of the boys during both games. I implemented a new formation and a new style of play so I knew things were not going to be perfect, but we are going in the right direction. We were able to compete toe to toe against one of the best teams in the conference and competed until the very end. Looking forward to the next game on Sunday against Mount Mercy University. We have a week to be ready and I know the performance of the boys will be even better".

The RedTail men's soccer team returns to the field on Sunday, April 13, where they will compete against Mount Mercy University.
