Male Athlete of the Week- Nolan Clayberg

RedTail Track and Field student-athlete Nolan Clayberg has been named Scheels Male Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Fighting Bee Invite on January 27-28.

Clayberg debuted his 60m Hurdles this past weekend, winning the event. He placed fourth overall in the preliminary round, and battled back hard during the final to take the gold, stopping the clock at 8.63. This puts him number five all time for Hawkeye. 

"Nolan joined us this semester and hasn't missed a step," said coach Hunter Lavallee. "He strives hard for excellence all while bouncing ideas and energy off of his event group. Clayberg has one bright season ahead of him. The hurdles crew looks to flex its strengths through the rest of the season being one of the best overall hurdles crew Hawkeye has seen."
