On the men's side, he shared:
"This past weekend was a big step forward for our program as we split our squad between two meets and saw strong performances across the board. At Central College, Tarelle Hoskins had an outstanding debut, running 10.58 in the 100 meters, which puts him at #2 all-time in Hawkeye history. He followed that up with a 21.40 in the 200 meters, tying him for the #1 all-time mark."
Turning to the women, he added:
"On the women's side, Riley Goddard made a huge statement in her first-ever hammer throw competition, hitting a national qualifying mark of 47.09 meters. That performance currently ranks her eighth in the nation and #2 all-time in our program."
He closed with confidence in the group's trajectory:
"I'm proud of how our athletes are competing early in the season, and this is just the beginning of what we're capable of."
