Cross Country Posts Strong Numbers at John Kurt Fall Invitation

The Hawkeye Community College RedTails Cross Country team posted strong numbers across the board as they competing against Wartburg at the John Kurt Invitation.

The women had a strong performance as RedTail runner Johanna Topham placed second with a time of 20:14 in the 5K. Madison Larsen also had a stellar performance placing sixth with a time of 20:36.  Overall, the women had a difference of 5 minutes and 38 seconds in the final standings of the event.

The men's cross country team was anchored by the performance of Peter Torkleson who placed 8^th with a time of 16:45. Johnny Smith finished 12^th with a time of 16:45. Peyton Ball placed 15^th with a time of 16:56. The difference in time amongst Hawkeye and Wartburg amounted to four minutes and forty-one seconds.
