Men’s Cross Country Second in Region XI Championships

DAVENPORT- The Hawkeye Community College men's cross country team had a strong performance at the Region XI Championships on Friday, October 26, finishing second and placing two runners within the top 15.
The RedTails were led by sophomore Peter Torkleson, who finished ninth with a time of 26:31. Payton Bahl followed in 14th place with a time of 26:52.
The RedTails had strong numbers across the board as David Thompson, Johnny Smith, and Landon Boomsma placed 16,17,18 all within a 10-second span.
The RedTails travel to Garden City, Kansas, to compete in the NJCAA National Championship on Saturday, November 10.
