RedTail Men Finish First Overall
The RedTail Men's Cross Country team had a terrific outing at the Fighting Bee Invite on Saturday, September 12, taking the team and individual titles in Davenport.
Sam Mickelson led the way with a time of 20:14.5 for first overall. Harrison Vanderlinden finished third (20:45.5), Kolby Winter finished fourth (20:55.6), and Brandon Conrad finished seventh (21:33.7). Tyler Colvin finished 17th with a time of 23:15.4 to round out the top scoring five.
Tyler Mulder, the head coach said: "[I'm] very proud of these young men, as we challenged them as a coaching staff to really step it up and find out who our fifth guy is. This meet it was Mr. Tyler Colvin, however we have a fantastic group of guys that it'll be interesting to see who wants it most on any given meet day!" Sam winning the meet was a huge highlight as that really helped set the tone of the year of what he's looking to accomplish!
RedTails travel to Mason City October 9 to compete in the Trent Smith Invite at NIACC.
