RedTails Compete in the 2020 NJCAA Region XI Championships
The RedTail Men's Cross Country team took third place overall in the Regional XI Championship Division ll on Sunday, November 1. The RedTail head coach, Tyler Mulder, was named Men's Coach of the Year for Region XI Division ll.
Sam Mickelson led the team with a time of 26:22.77 taking third place overall. Brandon Conrad followed close behind with a time of 27:19.38 finishing in sixth place overall. Kolby Winter (27:36.21,8th), Dodson Melchiori (29:11.94,11th), and Koby Brackemeyer (29:35.01,12th) rounded out the top five scoring athletes. Tyler Colvin (30:31.75) and Harrison Vanderlinden (31:34.44) rounded out the men competing for the RedTails.
"Sam ran another strong race, not his best race but it's nice to see him in the mix not feeling his best," Mulder said. Brandon Conrad keeps coming along and is looking poised to help lead this team at the National Championship. Kolby Winter and Dodson Melchiori have run the most consistent for us all year long, their bound to really run well at Nationals once we hit the taper."
The RedTail men will be back in action for the NJCAA Nationals on Sunday, November 14.
