RedTails Runners Place 6th at Les Duke Grinnell Invitational

GRINNELL–The RedTails Men's Cross Country team ran their first 8k of the season on September 11 and finished sixth as a team. 

D'Artagnon Beaver finished first for the RedTails and 23rd overall with a time of 27:25.1. Next to cross the line for the RedTails was Tyler Colvin with a time of 28:47.8. placing 36th overall. Placing 39th overall with a time of 29:14.9 was Dodson Melchiori. Next for the RedTails finishing in 41st place was Stephen Thomas with a time of 29:17.7. Harrison Vanderlinden finished with a time of 29:40.2 placing 45th overall. 

"It was the first 8k of the year so we're excited to see where the men stand with the new distance," says coach Tyler Mulder. "The course was challenging with the hills and the heat. D'Artagnon Beaver was our top finisher again and earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA)  Athlete of the Week because of it."
