WATERLOO–The Hawkeye RedTail Men's Cross Country team competed at the NJCAA Cross Country Championships on November 12, 2022 in Tallahassee, Florida. The RedTails battled extreme heat and humidity while running an 8000 meter race.
D'Artagnon Beaver was the fastest placing RedTail at the race, coming in at 45th. Beaver secured his spot in the top 50 with a time of 27 minutes, 52.7 seconds. Coach Corinne Gadient was extremely proud of the men's team saying, "It was an emotional day for all the athletes. From battling injury, sickness, heat exhaustion, and the humidity it was not an easy race for them. Regardless of how this meet resulted, I am beyond proud of what this men's team has accomplished this season with a region champion title and individually growing as strong runners. I can confidently say that this men's team will go down in history for being the best group of young men to ever go through the cross country program. With track season right upcoming, don't be surprised when this group of young men take down records and champion titles."
