RedTail Cross Country Wraps Up Season at Region XI Championships
The Hawkeye RedTail Men's and Women's Cross Country teams wrapped up their fall season this past weekend at the Region XI Championships in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Both squads showed determination and heart from start to finish, representing Hawkeye with pride.
"Our Men's and Women's RedTail cross country teams competed in the Region 11 Championships this past weekend in Fort Dodge, Iowa," said Head Coach Gordon. "Both squads gave everything they had and represented Hawkeye with pride, grit, and determination."
This fall marked a season of rebuilding and growth for the RedTails. Despite facing challenges along the way, the team continued to progress and embrace the grind. "While we all hoped for stronger results, what matters most is that these athletes gave their absolute best effort," Coach Gordon shared. "Coach Holsinger and I couldn't be prouder of their commitment and heart."
As the new leader of Hawkeye's Cross Country and Track & Field programs, Coach Gordon emphasized the team's long-term vision and potential. "Every day, we're taking steps in the right direction," he said. "The foundation we're building now will produce great results in the near future."
With the cross country season now complete, the RedTails turn their attention to the indoor and outdoor track seasons ahead. "The best is yet to come for this program and these incredible student-athletes," added Coach Gordon.
