Female Athlete of the Week-Alexis Teribury
RedTail sports shooter Alexis Teribury has been named Scheels Female Athlete of the Week for her performance in the ISTA State Championships at Cedar Falls Gun Club on April 23-24.
Alexis is a phenomenal shooter that helped the RedTails be successful in this championship. She put up a competitive score in Skeet and helped the Sporting Clays team earn our 3rd Place team trophy by putting up the third highest score on our team. She also earned 2nd Place Female in individual scoring because of her efforts. Alexis' score in Trap-singles helped the team to earn 3rd Place, as she was the 5th highest score on our team. She also earned individual honors by hitting enough targets for a 5th Place Female finish. Alexis finished 4th Place individual in the High-Over-All championship.
"Alexis did it her way," said coach Troy Emley. "She should be proud of her accomplishments at the championships. She has more heights to reach in her sports shooting career. I am looking forward to the places she will go in her shooting sports career."
"For my last meet, I believe my team and I competed to the best of our abilities with the weather conditions," says Alexis. "We kept our heads down and eyes up. We worked hard individually and as a team to pull off our victory this weekend."
Teribury is originally from Barton, New York.
