Female Athlete of the Week – Courtney Hemsley

Courtney Hemsley has been named the Scheels Female Athlete of the Week following a strong performance for the RedTail Softball Team in the team's final two tournament games.

Courtney went 4-for-8 at the plate, hitting .500, with 2 runs scored, 1 RBI, and 1 double. She also had a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000 in the outfield, continuing her reliable defensive presence.

"Courtney did a great job in the field and at the plate this past weekend and this entire season for us," said head coach Courtney Calkins. "She made some great plays in the outfield and hit the ball well. She has also been a great leader and mentor. She's grown so much in her two years here, and I'm very proud of the person she has become."
