SCHEELS Female Athlete of the Week | Mackenzie Bridgewater

Mackenzie Bridgewater of the Hawkeye Community College Softball has been named the SCHEELS Female Athlete of the Week after a solid performance at the plate against Northeast Iowa Community College.

Bridgewater came up huge in the RedTail's win against Northeast Iowa Community College. She went a perfect 4 for 4, scored one run, and stole three bases along the way. 

"She has done a great job being a leadoff for us," said softball head coach Courtney Calkins. "She is creating chaos in the batters box, keeping the defense on their toes. She has been an impact player for us this past week and has continued to be a great leader at the plate and in the field."

Mackenzie and the team hope to continue their hot hitting this weekend as they face Central Community College - Columbus at home on April 3rd, and Northeast Community College on Monday, April 6th.
