SCHEELS Female Athlete of the Week | Isabelle Kriegel

Isabelle Kriegel of the Hawkeye Community College Softball team has been named the SCHEELS Female Athlete of the Week after finishing with a solid performance following the team's wins against Ellsworth CC last week. 

In game one, Kriegel was a perfect 2-2 at the plate, both hits being homeruns. She had three runs batted in, scored twice herself, and walked twice. In game two, she added another hit and run scored for her team. On the day, she was .500 at the plate with a .714 on base percentage. She was also slugging an impressive .833.

"Izzy has been able to see the ball super well while at the plate. Her timely hitting helped us get two big wins against Ellsworth. It has been great to see her grow as an athlete and watch her be successful," said head coach Courtney Calkins.

Izzy's performance has been a solid contribution for the team. Izzy and the team hope to advance as they get ready to face Iowa Central for their Regional Tournament.
