SCHEELS Female Athlete of the Week | Mya Chamberlin

Mya Chamberlin has been named the SCHEELS Female Athlete of the Week after displaying a strong performance against Northeast CC.  

Chamberlin had a strong showing against Northeast CC. At the plate, she was 2-4 with a double, one run scored, and one run batted. On the mound, she got the win, going 5.1 innings, giving up five runs, just four earned, and two strikeouts. She was a big reason that the RedTails secured their first conference tournament win. 

"Mya has done a really great job for us all season", said Head Coach Courtney Calkins. "She has been a force to be reckoned with at the plate and on the mound. She has been very deserving of recognition for all of her hard work and dedication she has put in to this program."

With the season coming to a close. The Hawkeye CC softball team has built a solid culture and hope to build off of this season in prep for next year.
