Teagan Chrisman Signs with RedTail Softball
RedTail Softball head coach Courtney Calkins announces the signing of Teagan Chrisman to the 2026 recruiting class. Chrisman is the daughter of Kristin and Bart Chrisman and attends John F. Kennedy High School. Chrisman plans on pursuing an associate of science and wants to pursue sonography during her time at Hawkeye.
During her junior season, Chrisman put together a .350 batting average and .374 on base percentage. She collected 41 hits, including eight doubles, one triple, and nine home runs. She also added 41 runs batted in, 23 runs scored, and stole five bases.
During her time as a Cougar, she was named to Second Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Metro as a freshman. She was Honorable Mention All-Conference her sophomore year, and Second Team All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-Metro her junior year. She has also earned Honor Roll awards every year since freshman year.
“I am so excited to come to Hawkeye to meet new people and become close with my teammates for softball. I like Hawkeye because their campus is small and class sizes are too,” commented Chrisman.
Coach Calkins had this to add, “I am so excited to have Teagan on our team next year! She brings a positive energy and has a great work ethic that will help take our team to the next level. She is a tough defensive player on the left side of the field, and she has the ability to be a threat at the plate. I can’t wait to see her compete in a RedTail uniform!”
