RedTail Softball Inks Millea Miller
RedTail Softball head coach Courtney Calkins announces the signing of Millea Miller to the 2026 recruiting class. Miller the daughter of Cheryl and Jim Miller and attends Norborne High School. Miller plans on pursuing an associate of science in kinesiology during her time at Hawkeye.
A shortstop for the Aggies, Miller has put an impressive resume together during her time. She hit .571 with a .630 on base percentage. She put together 40 hits, including 16 doubles, four triples, and four home runs. She scored her teammates 35 times and crossed the plate 42 times herself. She also swiped 15 bases. In the field, she put together an impressive .959 fielding percentage.
For her efforts, Miller has been awarded First Team All-Conference three times, First Team All-District three times, and Second Team All-Region twice.
Outside of softball, Millea has been an Academic All-State recipient all four years of high school. She is also involved in NHS, FCCLA, and basketball.
Miller had this to say about choosing Hawkeye: “I picked Hawkeye because I love their campus, and I am excited to improve my skill and meet new people.”
“I’m very excited to have Millea on our team next year,” commented head coach Courtney Calkins. “She is a competitor on the field. She has a solid glove that will be very consistent in the middle of the field for us. She is also a threat at the plate and has the ability to hit the big part of the field and swipe bases. She is going to be a dynamic addition for our team! I can’t wait to see all she can accomplish as a RedTail!”
