RedTails Finish Third at Cedar Valley Invite on Saturday
WATERLOO–The RedTail Women's Bowling team led top three at Saturday's (February 13) Cedar Valley Invite tournament.
In the first two traditional games, the RedTails held second out of five teams with 1943 pins. Unfortunately, Grand View University was only trailing by less than 100 pins and eventually passed the RedTails in the third and forth games. The RedTails remained in third place during the 12 total baker games, finishing with 5734 pins for the day.
Freshman Whitney Morse was ranked seventh individually after three traditional games where she averaged 202.33 and had a total of 607 pins. Another impressive player was sophomore Natalie Leach, who was ranked just two behind Morse at ninth place. Leach averaged 199.67 during the first three games with 599 pins.
The RedTails have a short break before their next tournament at the Coe College Invite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Saturday, February 27.
