Women’s Bowling Continues Solid Play at Coe College Invite
CEDAR RAPIDS–The RedTail Women's Bowling team stayed consistent with another solid performance this weekend, February 27-28 at the Coe College Invitational.
The RedTails came out strong on day one, but had to regroup quickly as they ran out of steam down the stretch. The women put together some solid play throughout the baker sets, which earned them a seventh place overall finish as a team.
The weekend was highlighted by the play of freshman Whittney Morse and sophomore Natalie Leach. Morse placed fifth individually, averaging a score of 207 through three games of work, while Leach placed 17th with a 196 average score.
"Great overall weekend by the women's team, as they had another great showing," said head coach Heath Kohl. "Their performance helped take a look at what we really need to focus on in practice."
The RedTails will look to continue their stretch of solid play on March 13, where they will head to the Ebonite Invite in Addison, Illinois.
