Women’s Bowling Takes First in Doubles, Fourth Overall, at National Championship

The RedTail Women's Bowling Team took home a first place finish in the Women's Doubles and a fourth place finish overall at the 2021 NJCAA Women's Bowling Championship at Royal Scot Golf and Bowl in Lansing, Michigan, on April 7-9. 

Hannah Axline and Kassidy Gerken had outstanding performances, bringing home the gold for the RedTails in Women's Doubles. Natalie Leach also added a second place finish for Women's All-Events/All-American.

"These RedTails know how to fight through and make the shots to give one more final push to the finish line and make it happen," said head coach Heath Kohl.

The RedTails totaled 11,709 pins over the course of the tournament.

"Great bowling by all and great momentum to carry on into next week's USBC Sectionals in Addison, Ill., to go for a bid to USBC's ITC Nationals," said coach Kohl.
