RedTail Women’s Bowling Compete at Kohawk Invite
WATERLOO - The RedTail Women's Bowling team competed at the Kohawk Invite in Cedar Rapids on February 4-5.
The women started their Saturday with one of their most consistent showings to date and had all of their game totals within the 800 range. Individually, the team standouts were Madison Shontz and Brianna Ross. Shontz and Ross shone on Saturday, coming back from a bad game with multiple strikes and spares. Shontz stayed in the top 20 for a majority of the competition, though she ended the day in 37th.
"There was some good energy and I believe that helped them focus and rebound from bad shots," said coach Roger Taylor. "Between the two days, the women did see some movement within the standing, being as high as 11th at one point and proving that they could hang with some of our in-state rivals. Unfortunately, they ran out of steam towards the end of Sunday."
The Women's team finished in 15th.
