Joanna Fortin Signs with Hawkeye CC for Women’s Bowling
DANVILLE- Joanna Hesse will take on bowling at Hawkeye Community College next fall. From Danville, IA, Hesse is very new to bowling, starting last year. She is positioned to graduate from Danville High School in the spring and is planning to study to be a Vet assistant at Hawkeye.
"I am excited to come to HCC and bowl because my older brother bowled on the team two years ago, and I think it would be cool to bowl on the same team he did," says Hesse.
"I am excited to be able to learn and grow as a bowler and as a person. I started bowling last year. Everyone in my family bowls, so I thought I would give it a try. I was varsity my first year and got the Academic award as well. I was also just awarded team captain."
