Kiyrah Karstens | SCHEELS Female Athlete of the Week

Kiyrah Karstens of the Hawkeye Community College Bowling team has been named the SCHEELS Female Athlete of the Week after an outstanding performance at the Mid Iowa Bowling Conference Championship.

Karstens was the top finisher for the RedTails, placing 4th overall and earning her first All-Tournament Team selection. She recorded scores of 181, 182, and 234, totaling 597 pins over three games and averaging 199 for the event.

"Kiyrah has really stepped up as a leader for us this year," said head coach Roger Taylor. "Even when she's not on the lanes, she puts the team first and supports her teammates wholeheartedly. Her energy, encouragement, and competitiveness have made a huge impact on this group."

Karstens' performance and leadership continue to make her a cornerstone of the RedTails lineup as the season progresses.
