Lily Bader Joins RedTails Women’s Bowling Team
We are excited to announce that Lily Bader from John F. Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has officially committed to Hawkeye Community College. Lily will join the RedTail Women's Bowling team while pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.
Lily has been bowling for 15 years, starting at just three years old. Her lifelong dedication to the sport has helped her develop a passion for bowling. Along with her athletic goals, she is excited to continue her academic journey and gain hands-on experience in the field of education.
"I'm excited to come to Hawkeye to get an opportunity to be able to bowl for an amazing coach with amazing teammates while being able to get the education I want while also being able to gain experience in my field," Lily shared.
Welcome to the RedTail family, Lily!
"Lily comes from a successful bowling program, hailing from Cedar Rapids Kennedy, who won the 2025 Team High School State Championship for the girls. Lily grew up around bowling and it is safe to say that it is in her blood to bowl. She brings an enthusiastic energy about her and we feel that will serve her well while bowling in college and keeping her team pumped. I have known Lily's dad and grandparents since her dad and I were bowling in youth tournaments ourselves, so it is almost a full circle moment to bring her into our program," said head coach Roger Taylor.
