Hawkeye Women’s Golf Opens Fall Season at Sandburg Invite

The RedTails women's golf team opened its 2025 fall season at the Sandburg Women's Invite on Saturday, August 23, at Lake Bracken Country Club in Galesburg, Illinois. Competing on a challenging course against a strong regional field, the RedTails showed promise and gained valuable early-season experience.

Makenna Brissey paced the RedTails with a 111 (+40), finishing 21st overall. Natalie Sinnwell followed with a 117 (+46), while Maddie Sundine carded a 119 (+48). Rounding out the lineup, both Delaney Legg and Jillian Reisetter finished at 121 (+50). As a team, Hawkeye posted a score of 468 (+184).

"The women played good on a difficult course and had good stretches of golf in our first time out this fall. We will be back in action next weekend in River Falls, Wisconsin," said Coach Squires.

The RedTails will travel north next weekend for their second event of the fall schedule at the Falcon Invite in River Falls, Wisconsin.
