WATERLOO–The RedTails Women's Soccer team defeated the Grand View Vikings 4-2 last Sunday and wrapped up the regular season on a strong note.
Chloe Allan got the RedTails going in the first period, scoring 32 minutes into play. Ajla Sivic followed up Allan's goal with one of her own (38:24), assisted by Allan.
The team kept the momentum going in the second period with a pair of goals contributed by Allan (59:45), her second of the day, and one by Stefania Becerra (64:37). The defense looked strong, shutting down the Vikings and playing scrappy all game.
The team and coach Robbie Carroll are ready to move forward as they approach playoff season.
"We worked hard, made some changes in positions which worked for us and had a positive performance," stated coach Carroll. "Hopefully the girls can carry it into the playoffs this weekend."
The RedTails will compete in the playoffs this Saturday, October 26, in Norfolk, Nebraska, and they are excited for the opportunity.
