RedTail Women's Soccer had their second regular season game of the year at home vs Indian Hills Community College on September 3, where they fell 0-3.
The women's team had a very competitive game even though the score might not say so. Through the first period, it was tied nil-nil until the second period, when Indian Hills opened up the scoring with two quick goals at 49:57 and 53:39. Indian Hills would score once more before the match was over.
Women's head coach Chris Rennie also had some positive words to say about how the girls played in only their second game together.
"I was so proud of the performance of my players today," he said. "Injuries have taken their toll on the group this fall and we had to be creative and adjust how we want to play. The ladies did a fantastic job of adapting and showed their ever-growing team spirit. This young team is progressing every day."
The RedTails next matchup will be on the road Tuesday, September 6, at 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm at Marshalltown Community College.
