Female Athlete of the Week-Grace Heddens

RedTail Soccer student-athlete Grace Heddens has been named Scheels Female Athlete of the Week for her performance against Marshalltown Community College on September 6.

Grace had an outstanding showing at the recent 12-1 win over Marshalltown. She had three goals and two assists to add to the RedTails overall score. Grace is hard-working and is a great asset to the team and program.

"Grace is a great example of what we are trying to build here in women's soccer, hardworking, dedicated, and most importantly a great person," said interim head coach Chris Rennie. "Scoring her first Collegiate goals this week was a great achievement for Grace. Scoring a hat trick along with getting two assists was a fantastic reward for her commitment and an exciting start to conference play."

"This last game was much needed for our team, it really brought us together and helped us show one another the passion and potential we all have when playing together," said Grace. "It also felt really rewarding to get my first collegiate goal, let alone three as well as many others from the team."

Heddens is originally from North Liberty, Iowa.
