Female Athlete of the Week-Ellie Gutcher

RedTail soccer student-athlete Ellie Gutcher has been named Scheels Female Athlete of the Week for her performance so far in the ICCAC DII Region XI Championships.

Ellie has been a stand-out athlete so far this year and has really helped contribute to the RedTails success this post-season. She scored three goals and had one assist in the first round against Marshalltown Community College on October 23. The RedTails advanced to round two where Ellie had one assist of the three goals scored against NIACC on October 26 to advance to the Championship. Ellie will help lead the RedTail Women's Soccer team to the Region XI Championship game on Sunday, October 30 against Northeast Community College.

"Ellie has consistently come up big for us in important games, scoring game-winning goals on multiple occasions along with providing assists for her teammates," said interim head coach Chris Rennie. "In our match against Marshalltown, Ellie was able to complete her hat-trick along with providing an assist."

Gutcher is originally from Jarrow, UK.
