Female Athlete of the Week - Lauren Mercer

RedTail Soccer student-athlete Lauren Mercer has been named Scheels Female Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance in the recent match against #6 Northeast, which ended in a 0-0 tie.

Lauren showcased her exceptional skills with crucial tackles and interceptions throughout the game, helping the team maintain a strong defensive stance. Her ability to win key battles exemplified the determination and focus the team displayed for the entire 90 minutes.

"Lauren and the whole team had a fantastic performance against Northeast. It was so important that we focused for all 90 minutes, battled hard, won our tackles, and 1v1 duels. Lauren was a perfect example of this, and we are so proud of the attitude and leadership she and the rest of the team showed in this game," said head coach Chris Rennie.

Lauren Mercer is originally from Episkopi, Cyprus.
