RedTail Women’s Soccer Scrimmage Results in Tie Against William Penn
The RedTail women's soccer team traveled to William Penn on Saturday, April 19, for their last away scrimmage of the 2025 spring season.
The team walked away with a tie of 1-1. The sophomore forward, Morgan Aikey, was the one to make the goal to put the RedTails on the board.
"This was our second game in less that 48 hours on the road, and you see we were still fatigued from Thursday night's win at Upper Iowa," said head coach Christopher Rennie. "However, the players worked really hard in a scrappy game. We started the game well and took an early lead but never really grew from that point. We had spells in the game, but both teams struggled to really control the match. Leaving with a tie was probably a fair result for both teams and now has us continuing our undefeated spring schedule against 4 year universities, something that the team should be really proud of."
"We have one final game this spring and it's our only home game this season, so we are looking forward to that final match and we aim to cap off a good spring with a win!"
The RedTails will return to the field for their final match up of the spring season at home against the UNI Club on Wednesday, April 23, at 5:00PM.
