RedTails Earn Dominant Win in Conference Opener
This weekend, the RedTails hosted Western Iowa Tech in their first conference matchup of the season. WIT came out with intensity and physical play, but the RedTails rose to the challenge—and delivered. After netting the opening goal, the team found their rhythm and maintained control through the remainder of the match, adding two more goals in regulation. One of those came from the penalty spot, awarded after Grace Lea was taken down in the box.
It was a full team effort on Saturday, with plenty of players seeing the field and each one contributing in meaningful ways.
This important first conference win sets the RedTails up well as they head into a tougher stretch of their schedule. The early part of the season has allowed for more rest and focused development, and now the team is looking to bring their strongest squad into the heart of conference play.
Next up, the RedTails will travel to Fort Dodge to take on Iowa Central on Wednesday, September 24th. They're heading into the match with momentum—and a determination to bring the fire.
