On Saturday, the RedTails hosted Western Iowa Tech in the opening round of the regional tournament and secured a decisive 4–0 victory to advance to the second round of regional play.
Much like their previous matchup against WIT, the RedTails had to overcome adversity, battling through a highly physical game. The team took some time to find their rhythm, struggling early to generate momentum and consistency. Once the first goal found the back of the net, however, the RedTails settled in and quickly built on that success, adding multiple goals and taking firm control of the match. Their teamwork and resilience were on full display — no player was left behind, and every goal was celebrated together. That unity and collective spirit helped carry them through challenging stretches and fueled their strong finish.
The RedTails will now travel to face Iowa Lakes Community College in the second round of the regional tournament. Due to weather-related adjustments, the match has been rescheduled for Wednesday afternoon. The team will depart Tuesday and stay overnight to ensure they are rested and ready for another intense battle on the pitch.
