Female Athlete of the Week- Elyse Trunck

RedTail Track & Field student-athlete Elyse Trunck has been named Scheels Female Athletes of the Week for their performance at the Jim Duncan Invite on April 14.

Trunck has shown significant improvement while competing and has been successful in the classroom throughout the semester. She had 2 PR's over the weekend and placed third in Discus against multiple four-year schools. 

"Elyse has come a long way from that very shy and quiet girl at the beginning of the year," said coach Jhawan Horton. "She has been working really hard on her technique and it's starting to pay off and show what she can do. I am very proud of her and hopes she can continue this momentum going forward" 

Trunck is originally from Hudson, IA.
